Windswept: framed mixed media
This painting originated with freely splashed fluid acrylic watercolor. The acrylic was used so I could glaze watercolor over the surface at various stages without lifting the original colors. These vibrant acrylic watercolors provide a strong base palette that I tone down as I progress with my collage techniques that build the surface of my landscape images.
These textures are torn pieces of rice paper, bark papers and torn watercolor papers ( often from previous paintings!)
