Participating in outdoor art shows is always a risky business. This season if you live on the East coast, you'll have experienced more than your share of rainy weather. Many art shows
are rain or shine situations. Come prepared ...
Over the many years of doing tent shows, weights have been increased to hold down my tent. There have been additions of protective art bags, tarps and clothing for myself. My partner and I have even developed our worst case scenarios and well practiced routines kick into place as the lightening strikes. It certainly is discouraging after investing time, money and energy to line up these shows to have them wiped out by the weather...but that's the business. Working in the studio may be cozy, but my work can't be sold by stacking it in drawers.
I am thankful for the ability to share this work on the internet, art shows and galleries.
This post is for the many brave souls that venture forth in the elements to view and support artists at the outdoor shows .... thank you! Your presence is appreciated. Thank you for your questions, your compliments and encouragement.
